Families and individuals who want to visit a local attraction can do so for free by reserving a Mishawaka-Penn-Harris Public Library Discovery Pass. Current MPHPL pass options can be checked out up to two weeks in advance.
Downtown MPHPL Third St. Entrance/Exit Closure
The downtown Mishawaka Library’s Third Street parking lot entrance/exit is temporarily close due to a city sewer project. Motorists can enter the MPHPL parking lot from Lincolnway and exit via Race Street. The sewer project is expected to be complete this fall.

MPHPL Earns $10k+ Rebate Check for Harris Branch Lighting Upgrades
An Indiana Michigan Power representative was on hand at Thursday night’s MPHPL board meeting to deliver a $10,745 rebate check for recent energy-efficient lighting upgrades that were implemented at the Harris Branch.
Free Income Tax Assistance at the Downtown Mishawaka Library
Individuals and families with an annual household income of $64,000 or less can file for free through the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, sponsored by Goodwill Industries of Michiana, Inc. VITA volunteers will be at the downtown Mishawaka Library on Tuesdays, starting Tuesday, February 6, through Tuesday, April 9.

MPHPL Hosts Second Annual Local Author Fair for Adults Thursday, Nov. 2
The second annual Local Author Fair will take place at the downtown Mishawaka Library from 4 to 7 p.m. and is designed to give writers and readers of adult fiction and non-fiction an opportunity to connect. The public will be able to meet and greet local authors.
Harris Branch to Reopen October 2
MPHPL is excited to announce that regular hours of operation will resume at the Harris Branch Monday, October 2. Doors will open to the Harris Branch October 2 at 10 a.m. Light refreshments, family-friendly festivities and crafts for children will be available throughout the day.
