MPHPL Discovery Passes
February 28, 2024
Families and individuals who want to visit a local history museum will be able to do so for free starting Monday, March 4 by reserving a Mishawaka-Penn-Harris Public Library Discovery Pass.
MPHPL is excited to announce partnerships with The History Museum, Studebaker National Museum and the Mishawaka Historical Museum.
MPHPL Director Donna Meeks said, “Discovery Passes are just one example of the variety of services we offer our cardholders. They allow our patrons to experience local attractions at no cost. All they need is a MPHPL library card.”
Adult MPHPL patrons will soon be able to reserve a digital Discovery Pass online and use it without needing to visit a library location. However, if you prefer to check pass availability in person and secure a reservation, you can do so at any of our MPHPL locations. Current pass options admit up to six people and can be checked out up to two weeks in advance.
When securing pass reservations, a patron can either print out their pass reservation or digitally store the pass on a smartphone to present it for free admission at a partner location.
Library card holders must present an ID with the pass when visiting a partner location, and the ID card must match the name on the Discovery Pass. Each pass is valid only for the day listed on the pass, and only one active reservation is allowed at a time. Discovery Passes are not valid for special events.
The following MPHPL library card types are eligible to reserve Discovery Passes starting Monday, March 4:
Unlimited Adult
Educator
Non-Resident
Due to the limited number of passes available, each cardholder is limited to one pass checkout every 30 days.
The beginning of a new era for the Mishawaka-Penn-Harris Public Library begins Monday, March 4! We cannot wait to share more details when our MPHPL Discovery Passes page goes live!
