“We have something for everyone, truly providing learning for a lifetime. Whether you’re raising a family or embracing retirement, we are here to support your journey by offering engaging programs and resources to help,” said MPHPL Director Donna Meeks.

MPHPL Staff Dress As Their Favorite Book Characters
MPHPL employees will celebrate literature during National Library Week by dressing up as their favorite book characters. From classic novels to modern works – staff at our three library locations will be gearing up to wow you!
Vote for Your Favorite MPHPL Staff Book Character Costume
Each day that our MPHPL staff step into the shoes of their beloved book character costumes, they can enter our first-ever MPHPL Staff Book Character Costume Contest. At the end of National Library Week, Saturday, April 12, after 4 p.m., all staff costume photos will be posted on our MPHPL Facebook page. Each staff photo will feature a contest number, and we need your help to pick the best MPHPL Staff Book Character Costume. To cast your vote for your favorite costume, simply comment ONCE on Saturday’s MPHPL Book Character Costume Facebook post, indicating which staff costume number is your favorite. All votes must be submitted by noon on Monday, April 14. If a Facebook user votes more than once, only their first vote will be counted. We will announce the winner of the MPHPL Staff Book Character Costume Contest on our MPHPL Facebook page.
