About Our Study Rooms

Study rooms are available at all three MPHPL locations. Rooms may be reserved for use during library operating hours. Patrons must read and agree to our Study Room Policy.

General Guidelines

  • Patrons must have an MPHPL card to use a study room.
  • Study Rooms may be reserved one day ahead of use and can be used no more than once per day regardless of location.
  • Bookings are limited to three hours.

Study rooms are provided as quiet space for individuals or small groups whose activity requires a space with minimal distraction for study, meetings, or collaboration.

    • Youth Study Rooms (Mishawaka)
      • Ages 12-17

    • Branch Study Rooms (Bittersweet and Harris)
      • Ages 12 and up
      • Adult tutor/study leader with all ages (child/teen/adult)

Patrons using the study room must adhere to MPHPL

  • Patron Code of Conduct
  • Unattended or Disruptive Children Policy
  • Business Solicitation Policy
  • Non-compliance may result in loss of Library privileges.

The Library reserves the right to terminate any meeting that is noisy, disruptive, or potentially destructive to library property. Parents/tutors are responsible for the behavior of their children/students.

The patron signing up for the study room takes full responsibility for any damages incurred resulting from its use. All damages will be charged to that patron; any abuse of the room will be cause for denying further usage to the patron.

How to Make a Reservation

By Room

  • Navigate to the desired Study Room
  • Click Room Details
  • Select your preferred Start Time with the blue +
  • Fill in the Study Room Reservation Form
  • Click Submit

By Day

  • Enter reservation information to view available rooms
    • Choose Study Room under Room Type
    • Select reservation Date and Start Time and Duration (15 minute increments only; up to 3 hour maximum duration)
    • Select a Library Branch, if known
  • Click Apply
  • Click Reserve This Room under your preferred room
  • Fill in the Study Room Reservation Form
  • Click Submit
