How You Can Help MPHPL

GivingTuesday offers the chance to support community literacy. “The generosity of our community helps fund books and programs that educate, empower and enrich lives right here in our community,” said Dena Wargo, Director of Support Services. “Together, we can make a lasting difference.”

“For example, a $10 donation means a child who completes our reading challenge can take home a free book. A $100 donation allows 10 kids to earn a free book,” explained Wargo.

GivingTuesday History

Since it started in 2012, GivingTuesday has become a global celebration of giving. It encourages individuals and organizations to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond. The initiative aims to create a world where generosity is central, providing dignity, opportunity, and equity for everyone.

Last year, GivingTuesday raised billions of dollars for nonprofits around the world, helping important causes and motivating people to give back.
